More Recliner with Lift

There are numerous things that affect the comfort of a recliner with lift. Some of those factors are: back height, angle of the seat back and depth of the seat. Softness and bounce on a recliner with lift is achieved by all sharp metal objects being smoothed. The seat back should also be free of bumps and hard spots.  This is done professionally by adding padding where required.

Recliner with lift chairs allow you to gently move from a sitting position to a reclining position or a sitting position to a standing position. The lifting motion on a recliner with lift is usually achieved with a push of a button on a convenient hand control.

Frame construction on the recliner with lift is also very important. The frame should be constructed of a Kiln dried hard wood, (oak, maple and ash are most commonly used).  Also steel, plastic and laminated boards are used to prevent warping. A good frame is joined by using corner blocks and dowels, glued and screwed together. The frame on a recliner with lift should also feel heavy and balanced. The legs should be squared and sturdy to prevent any wobbling.

Recliners with lift can be constructed of three different mechanisms. The first recliner with lift mechanism is a two-way mechanism that allows the recliner with lift to open up into a full reclining position or with the footrest partially extended. These particular recliners with lift typically require significant wall space behind them.

The Wall Lounger or Wall Savers are a multi purpose mechanism that allows the recliner with lift to open forward so that the recliner with lift can be placed closer to the wall. These recliner with lift mechanisms will be opened with a handle or button. The back will be reclined by pushing on the arms. With a recliner with lift all of this is accomplished at the push of a button. Recliners with lift chairs do come in wall hugger styles.

The rocker mechanism is a multi purpose mechanism that allows the chair to rock until such time as the ottoman is opened. These chairs also require a lot of space behind them. We know of no recliner with lift that has this rocking recliner action at this time.
