The Halo Safety Ring is the only institutionally designed bed system mobility device that meets and exceeds the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Hospital Bed Safety Workshop (HBSW) dimensional guidelines to prevent resident entrapment. Entrapment is defined as an event in which a resident is caught, trapped or entangled in or about the bed rails, mattress or bed frame. It is an assist in standing. It is a hand hold if you begin to tip over. It is not a product to restrain you from falling when installed.
