TiLites exclusive Rigid folding mechanism “RFM” cross tube design combines the best of today’s wheelchair design technology.To do this TiLite Engineers developed, tested, rode and destroyed wheelchairs for more than two years, the result is the TiLite RFM.First developed for the TX, RFM permits TiLite to build the 2GX one piece side frames.These side frames increase performance and enhance durability because they are welded together, not bolted.Further RFM clamps over the bottom frame tube, keeping the bottom pivot point in line with the frame, allowing for the narrowest folded widths. Easy to fold, easy to transport.
• Lock outs:
TiLites RFM cross tubes also feature "snap in” black seat saddles with lock-outs that further help the 2GX achieve near rigid chair performance.
• Tru-Fit system
TiLite builds the 2GX with one-piece side frames, just like we build our rigid chairs.Most folding chairs are built with two or three- piece side frames that are bolted together, leading to flexure, squeaks and an attendant loss of energy.Single-piece side frames increase performance by reducing durability.The 2GX also features TiLite’s Tru-Fit system.The Tru-Fit system allows all major components to be precisely clamped onto the side frames instead of being bolted through, eliminating one of the main stress points on today’s wheelchairs.This results in a 50% reduction in holes in the frame and providing infinite adjustment since there is no need to line up components with existing pre-drilled holes.
