The Original Transfer Master Hi-Low Bed was designed to look like home furniture yet maintain all of the functions of a clinical bed. Typical home care beds are designed exclusively for the nurses. The Original improves on this by meeting the needs of both the user and the rest of the family.

The standard minimum height (from the top of the mattress to the floor) is 18 inches, allowing for easy transfers from most wheelchairs. (The standard mattress is 8 inches and a thinner mattress would put the bed top surface lower., There is no longer an option to lower the bed further.). The Hi-Low mechanism allows the bed to raise 12 inches to enable an easy transfer back to the chair and to simplify care giving tasks. The head and foot sections rise higher than what you find in standard homecare beds.

You can choose from standard widths such as Twin, Full or a Queen size, or we can finish the bed to your specification. You determine the length whether it is standard, extra long, super long or a custom dimension. This is only the beginning of the choices. You then choose the minimum height of the bed, the finish of the mattress and a range of controls and options. If you are using a lift, you can order an optional package to allow clearance for any "Hoyer" type system.

Our orthopedic mattresses offer superb comfort. For extra sensitive needs, we offer an optional Memory Foam Pillow Pad Overlay. Mattresses are made to specification. Let us know the estimated weight and firmness preferences of the user and the mattress will be built to the request.

Old fashioned craftsmanship is evident in each bed that we build. The Original is stamped, welded, powder-coated and final assembled in the State of Iowa. Parts are either bolted or welded together to insure the product's integrity.

Mattresses:

All of our orthopedic mattresses are made with great care. The mattresses follow the contour of the bed without excessive bulging and still remain supportive. The mattress materials are breathable and create a health environment for skin conditions. Normally mattresses are made with innersprings while some special application mattresses can be made with latex, specialty or memory foams. Our fabric covering is made with cotton and polyester for breathability and durability. Vinyl is available upon request.

White Glove Delivery:

Our white glove delivery will take the bed into your home, unpack and remove the packing materials. As the bed weighs from 500 to 700 lbs. depending on the size chosen, we recommend this option for most deliveries. White Glove charges vary from state to state and are higher if 2nd floor deliveries are required, without a freight elevator.
