The MaxiFloat ECM Heel Gradient technology is an economical and documented pressure relief system. By incorporating advanced technology, co-polymer material together with polyurethane foam, the ECM offers vital pressure reduction for patients at low to moderate risk of skin breakdown. Increased contact area to the back of the lower leg, coupled with a gentle incline specifically is designed to deliver low interface pressure readings in the heel area. These lower pressures are enhanced by the very low friction, low shear top surface, providing the best answer to the challenge of treating skin breakdowns which produce pressure ulcers in the elderly.

The Top Cover
• Soft and billowy Hypolex® Top Cover provides a very low friction and low shear surface.
• Waterproof and stain resistant.
• Offers very low moisture transmission rates and is anti-microbial.
The Inner Foam Core
• The Top Layer consists of medium density foam, contour cut in seven zones along the full length of the pressure reduction mattress.
• An Anatomically inspired design more evenly distributes the patient’s weight providing low interface pressure readings (i.e. pressure reduction to promote healing).
• Unique Heel Gradient Technology for further reduction in pressure
• The Bottom Support Layer consists of high-density foam and is a full 3" thick.
- Articulation cuts are provided to facilitate gatching of the bed.
- Provides added protection to prevent “bottoming out”.
• All the components of the inner core meet or exceed the specifications in California Upholstery Provisions as stated in Technical Bulletin # 117.
• Inherently anti-microbial and inhibits the growth of MRSA.
The Bottom Cover
• The Bottom Cover is a durable gray ripstop vinyl, extra durable and heavy duty.
• Waterproof and Anti-bacterial
• Contains air vents to allow air transfer, enabling the patient to descend into the therapeutic layers of the pressure reduction mattress.
MaxiFloat mattress warranties apply to defects in structure, workmanship, and materials and only to damages arising from normal hospital/facility usage from the date of purchase. for a period of five years.
