The AccuMax Quantum VPC Pressure Relief System is a mattress replacement system that is designed to effectively prevent and manage pressure ulcers. An exclusive Heel Pillow assembly helps to significantly reduce interface pressure in the sensitive heel and ankle areas. Each section of the mattress: the top cover, topper, air sectors and bottom cover are a separate component, available as a replacement part.Hypolex® Ultra™ Protective Top Cover:
Hypolex® Ultra™ Protective Top Cover
The Hypolex Ultra Cover system is flame retardant with a self extinguishing burn rate after flame of one (1) second maximum. There is a moisture vapor transmission rate of .72 gm/m2/hr maximum.
Topper Assembly
The topper shall be minimally two (2) inches thick and consist of Dual IFD lower layer with a super soft section for the heels. It also includes an upper layer of visco elastic foam for additional comfort. The topper assembly will also include firm side rails for added product stability during ingress/egress of the patient or resident.
Air Sector Assembly
The air sector assembly shall be constructed to provide therapy from the head of the patient, the upper and lower torso through to the back of the knee. All components of the air sector assembly shall be flamed retardant to meet the specifications in the U.S. California Upholstery Provisions at stated in Technical Bulletin #117. Each air sector is held in its correct orientation and position by connected non-woven fabric sleeves.
Each air sector contains a separate one-way inflation valve to allow for quick, reactive, reinflation.
Bottom Cover
The bottom cover is 11 oz double laminate vinyl that is removable and replaceable. This material is waterproof and contain anti-bacterial properties. It shall be attached directly to the top cover by means of the aforementioned YKK zipper.
