This Tuffcare bariatric pressure relief mattress is used for hospital and homecare beds. The Tuffcare ALX 852 is a heavy duty pressure relief mattress with a weight capacity of 1000 lbs. This low air loss mattress is also used on bariatric beds. Due to Federal Regulations this product cannot be returned. This mattress is a Group II mattress under the following definition:
Group 2 support surfaces, which can be special mattresses used alone or placed directly over a bedframe, include powered air flotation beds, powered pressure reducing air mattresses, and nonpowered advanced pressure reducing mattresses. These support surfaces may only be rented and are more expensive than Group 1 support surfaces.
