The challenge is to design a system which can support substantial weight, transfer the patient from bed to chair and be used for rehabilitation purposes. Flexible design of the freestanding frame enables the Lift System to move from one facility to another, with minimum disturbance to patients and staff. The system obviates the need to alter facility structures. (9 foot overhead ceiling minimum required.)
Choice of Systems
The Bariatric Lift System is available as a single track system, or as a room covering system installed on the ceiling. Free-standing or ceiling installed systems can also be used for patient handling in most departments within the hospital.

Simple Operation
Operation of the Barrier Free lift is straightforward.
* Caregiversuse a single hand control to operate the lift up and down, and to move along the track.
* The waterproof hand control is convenient for bathing operations. The electrically wired control and the lift itself is driven by strong 24 volt battery power.
* The lift can be continuously recharged with Barrier Free Lifts' True Continuous Charge, or automatically when returned to the end of the track after use.
Easy to maneuver
* Smooth and controlled transfer is ensured by Glide
Free'ssoft start and stop feature.
* The Barrier Free transfers patients from a bed or chair, stretcher, tub or commode. Precision engineering allows precise patient positioning.
Digital Scale Option
* Digital scales are available for any Barrier Free lift system to provide clinical staff with accurate monitoring of patient weight.
Programs Offered
* The gantry system in single (8' x 8')or double width (8' x16') size is available through a rent or lease program. This provides maximum flexibility to hospitals in their patient management and finance.
* A comprehensive warranty is available on Barrier Free Lifts products. Service and warranty packages are negotiable.
